Dr. Melinda Frame, MD, FACOG is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She has felt called to medicine and intentionally pursued that path throughout her life. Along the way, she met her husband, developed a passion for women’s health, and her journey led her from Tennessee to Georgia and ultimately to Sweet Home Alabama. She has proudly served the Mobile community since 2014. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to women throughout every stage of life and values building lasting relationships with her patients.
Dr. Frame earned her undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Humanities. She received her medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah. During residency, she served as Chief Administrative Resident, was named Outstanding Resident Teacher, and was awarded “Best Resident Research Project” in her last year of training.
Since moving to Mobile, Dr. Frame has served as Chair of the Department of OB/GYN at Providence Hospital and has been an active member of both the Medical Executive Committee and Credentials Committee. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She maintains active membership in several professional organizations, including the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Mobile Medical Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and The Menopause Society.
Dr. Frame has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including advanced vaginal and robotic procedures using the da Vinci Xi Surgical System. She is committed to continually advancing her surgical skills and delivering the highest level of care through innovation and precision. In the obstetrics world she is thrilled to be a part of bringing a new generation here safely. Women are amazing through every decade of life, and she understands the privilege to be called “physician” by so many women in Mobile and the surrounding area.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Frame and her husband have been married since 2008 and are raising three children and two puppies. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, including boating, fishing, hunting, and hiking. Their shared commitment to faith brings them joy and guides them as they embrace new opportunities together.
